CHSPE Preparation

 

For the purposes of preparing the students to take the CHSPE, it will be necessary to modify the curriculum to include a computer based training program.  Similar programs are currently being used throughout the county.  For example, The Novanet program  facilitates students in Alvord Unified School District in English and mathematics.  If this type of instruction is going to be used, students will attend a specialized, computer networked classroom where they will interact with a computer database. This database will monitor their progress and assign credit based on effort and completion of instruction modules.  A faculty member who has training in both subject area and this specialized instruction will be available to assist the students if they need it.
